What makes Mimica different from other English apps?
Most apps grade you against a stranger's voice. Mimica plays back a native-clear version of your voice, diagnoses your specific accent patterns with Accent Sherlock, and lets you rehearse in lifelike roleplay — all on-device and private.
Does it work offline?
Partly. The tutor's voice and your personal voice clone run fully on your phone, and speech recognition can too. But live conversations and detailed pronunciation feedback are powered by cloud AI, so you'll need a connection for those — and that conversation audio is processed securely in the cloud (see our Privacy Policy). Your voice clone itself always stays on your device.
