Why speak Japanese out loud
In Japanese, the sounds are usually not the hard part. The hard part is choosing the right level of politeness on the spot, keeping long and short vowels apart, and keeping the rhythm when a real person is waiting for your answer.
What you can do in Japanese
Roleplay scenes
A tutor stands in the setting as a 3D avatar, speaks first and reacts to what you say. Each scene has a mission so the conversation has a point.
Characters
Free conversation with AI characters who stay in role, ask you questions and keep you talking.
Mimic
Phrase-by-phrase pronunciation practice: say it, see which sounds shifted, say it again.
Subtitles and translation
See what the tutor said and tap for a translation in your own language. The app speaks 30 interface languages.
How a conversation works
In Turn mode the app listens until you finish, then the tutor answers. In Live mode you can interrupt mid-sentence, like in a real conversation. Speech recognition runs on the phone, so the tutor reacts quickly. Conversations and detailed feedback use cloud AI providers.
