Why does your voice stay on your phone?

Your voice is personal, so Mimica keeps as much of it on your phone as possible. Speech recognition and the tutor's voice run on the device, your personalised voice profile is created and kept on the device only, and your speech goes to the cloud only when a feature needs it. Axielo does not keep copies of your recordings on its servers.

What stays on the phone

What goes to the cloud, and when

A conversation with an AI tutor needs a large AI model that runs in the cloud. So when you talk with a tutor or a character, or ask for detailed pronunciation assessment, the audio or text of that interaction and the learning context it needs are sent to contracted providers that process them for Mimica. These providers currently include Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, Google Cloud, OpenRouter and AWS. They may receive only what the feature needs, and Axielo directs them to use available safeguards that redact email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers and similar data from the request before it reaches a model.

You can delete your account and its data from Settings whenever you want.

What Axielo stores

Axielo does not sell personal data, does not use it for third-party advertising, and does not give it to data brokers.

How to delete everything

In the app: Settings, then Delete account. On the web: app.mimica.talk/delete. Deletion removes your account and the service data tied to it, and wipes the voice profile from the phone. Your Google Play subscription is separate, so cancel it in the store first.
